Fri 27th April

Brown Guys, Grey Skies – Casa Gracia – 20:30: A comedy event hosted by Hush Hush Comedy – A duo show of Deepu Dileepan and Sundeep Bhardwaj  and their time in Amsterdam and Europe with an observational undertone

Biergarten 2018 – Poble Espanyol . A german beer festival is always a wonderful thing. Big pitchers, strong beer and a variety of sausages that seem to go perfect with the hops

Feria de Abril – Parc del Forum: The start of a 10 day festival celebrating Andalusian culture with long flowing dresses and flamenco music aplenty

International Day of Dance – Plaça dels Àngels – 18.00:  A wide range of short dances in an open square from disciplines such as ballet to improv to commemorate international dance day. This unbelievable and wide-ranging choreography is not to be missed!

King’s day party – Belushi’s: Expect a lot of orange and a lot of cheap drinks as this bar brings the best of Netherlands to Barcelona

Sat 28th April

Rooftop pool party – SB Glow hotel – 16.00 – 21.30: Lets hope for a sunny day as Dj’s Cucut and Jairo Uria will provide the beats on a rooftop opposite Torre Agbar and along the Barcelona skyline provides the view

Van van market – C/ Rosselló, 515 – Food trucks, live music & vintage fashion. A market for all

Michael Jackson Tribute show –  Teatre Nuevo Coliseum: A group of over 40 people that came together to reproduce the wonderful talent of Michael Jackson. They will perform with all his mannerisms, swagger and energy. Expect all his hits, red jacket, white socks and black shoes

Sun 29th April

World Press Photo – CCCB – The 3rd city to hold the 2018 world press photo exhibition. Top photojournalism snaps are shown from around the world with over 130 winning and selected photographs on display.

Salomon Run – Montjuic: Slamon up and down Montjuic, across the windy roads and back again to make up this 10k run. There’s also spectacular views of the city from 200 metres above sea level.

The Baseballs – Sala BARTS – 20.30: What more could you ask for than german rockabilly sounds on a Sunday evening. From €25 you can hear their wonderfully adapted covers and get your Elvis groove on to this world-famous band.

Arcade Fire live – Palau St Jordi: A few tickets are still available for the harmonic ensemble that is Arcade Fire

SoundEat! –  €9 for the music and food festival that IS barely a year old. Back in Forum for this event see international DJ’s welcome you into the spring heat.

Record Store Day – An international event to promote the old school way of selling records in a record shop. Whats more is that there’s live concerts in over 5 record stores in Barcelona from 12.00 – 20.00

Barcelona Open – Reial Club de Tenis – Tickets available from €9. See Nadal back home leaving dust in the clay

Copa Del Rey Final – 21.30 – Athletico Madrid’s new stadium hosts Sevilla v Barcelona for cup glory. Can Barcelona win their successive and 30th Copa del Rey cup? It will be shown in nearly every bar with a TV in the city

All Those Food Market – Teatre Nacional de Catalunya – Your mouth should be watering at the prospect of the cities finest cooks, chefs, farmers and foodies in the same place. Meet the artists and entrepreneurs behind the dishes and eat the finest gastronomy to your hearts content

Love Come Down: El Verano del Disco – Gallery Hotel – Cocktails, sun, disco balls, flairs, rollerskates all on a rooftop. Need we say more?

Festa Major de la Sagrada Família: the start of the local festical with all the usual fireruns (Sunday 20.30), human towers, senseless drinking, giant head parades and Paella eating contests.

Thirty Seconds to Mars – St Jordi Club 19.00 – Jared Leto headlines his 3 piece band in Barcelona. Between acting in every single movie ever made we don’t know how he has the time really

Barça vs Valencia – Nou Camp  16.15 – The league has almost been won but you’ll find few happy faces, at least at the start of the match due to Barcelona’s unexpected and lacklustre exit to the hands of Roma. Though another match against a big team might be exactly what they need right now.

Eat Street: Beerthday – Carrer Ferran Turné 11: 12.00 – 23.00: What better way to celebrate your birthday by turning your festival event into bars and inviting everyone to drink, eat and be merry. Pub food, craft beers and jazz inspired music.

CosmoCaixa Barcelona – El somni de fibonaaci – For a limited time the Cosmo Caixa have an Escape room. Think terminator where machines turn on us, but instead of being hunted down by Arnie you have a chance so simply save us by figuring out the clues.

Saló del Còmic 2018  – Fira Montjuic – The last day of the 4 day comic fair that attracts over 100,000 visitors. Are you a DC or Marvel kinda guy? Does Spiderman or Captain America tickle your interest.

Holi Barcelona Can Zam park 18.30 freeeeee -Follow this Indian tradition, dance to bhangra, wear all white from head to toe and bask under a massive cloud of colour as you throw coloured paint at strangers and get a temporary hair dye.

Bicicletada i Festa de la bicicleta .- Anyone can join in, you just need a bicycle and some will power. 12km starting at 10am from Arago con Roger Flor the bicycle party will start!
